The Spruce Goose & Maysara Winery

Yesterday we drove to McMinnville to the Evergreen Aviation Museum, where Howard Hugh's Spruce Goose now lives.  It is beyond huge!  The entire museum was impressive, encompassing the earliest ideas of aviation to the current space program.  I have to admit that it would not have been my first choice of "things to do,"  but what a treat it was.  (Actually, I have to admit that I have become a real beach bum, and could just spend hours sitting here watching the waves and changing light, doing nothing productive.)

On our way back to Arch Cape we wanted a cup of coffee, but decided that a winery stop was a better way to handle the gray clouds and drizzle.  So we randomly (translate: conveniently!) stopped at Maysara Winery.  What can I say, it was fun once we realized that the two miles of dirt road actually led somewhere.

In the evening, another beautiful sunset in between rain showers, and this morning started at 6:00 AM with rainbows.  (or, a repeating pattern: rain, rainbow, rain, rainbow . . . you get the picture!)
