Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away . . .

It rained on and off all day, but we made the best of it.  Our first stop was at Ecola State Park for a very cold and wet peek at the beach.  Then on to Cannon Beach for lunch and to visit a few stores, including the cup cake store.  Our final stop was Seaside, where we mistakenly believed that the tourists would not show up until today.  I think that there are only two traffic lights in the city and a non-ending line of traffic!  Anyway, we came back to the house and spent the afternoon and evening painting, stitching, playing Eckolo and Array, reading, talking, laughing . . .and, as always, watching the  ever changing ocean before us.  The weather did clear enough for my evening walk on the beach - Hooray!
